Winamac Athletics

The girls basketball team swept Pioneer on Tuesday night. The JV won a two quarter contest 15-10. Corinne Ulerick led the scoring attack with 8 points. The JV record is now 7-7. The Varsity defeated the Lady Panthers 52-29. Three players reached double figures in scoring: Marissa Iverson (16), Sadie Popejoy (13), and Piper Link (10). Iverson and Link also each added 8 rebounds. The varsity record is now 12-8. Also of note, after going winless in the Hoosier North Conference a year ago, the Lady Warriors finished conference play with a 3-4 record. Both teams hit the road on Thursday night to take on the Twin Lakes Lady Indians.
